CGuard is built with privacy-first principles. We collect only the information required to operate and secure your account and services.

Information We Process

• Account data such as name and email address.
• Security scan metadata and threat events needed for analysis.
• Device and session information needed for authentication and protection.
• Location data, including background location, when you enable background WiFi threat monitoring.

Location Data

CGuard may access your device's location to scan nearby WiFi networks and detect risky or malicious networks. If you enable background WiFi monitoring, the app will continue to access location periodically even when the app is closed so it can alert you when your device joins a suspicious network. We use this data only for threat detection and network security; we do not sell or share location data with third parties, and we do not use it for advertising or user profiling.

How We Use Data

• To authenticate users and secure accounts.
• To deliver threat detection, reporting, and product safety features.
• To scan WiFi networks and alert you to security risks.
• To improve reliability and performance of the platform.

Data Sharing

We do not sell personal data. We may share limited information with trusted infrastructure and billing providers solely to deliver the service.
